Developed theory and analyzed data using Matlab and Excel for novel experiments concerning the manipulation of the electronic structure of various metals. Daily activities required me to manipulate sets of data with 10,000+ rows and 100+ columns. Worked directly with the CEO; developed documents for use in creating future business and scientific plans as well as summaries for investors.

Hotel Contract Negotiator at Non-profit Organization 2008 - 2010 (2 years)
I negotiated contracts for weekend conventions with the Hyatt, Marriott, Sheraton and Omni Hotels in Atlanta, GA on behalf of two different non-profit organizations. This was volunteer work, I was not payed for this service. Two of these contracts were ultimately used in hosting conventions for these organizations. The larger convention had approximately 2400 attendees. Both the non-profit organization and the hotel saw a substantial profit from the event.

-Developed numerical simulations of coupled neurons to create bifurcation diagrams of their equilibrium phase difference using Matlab.

I worked for two years as a graduate student in an experimental atomic physics laboratory. We studied sodium Bose-Einstein condensates. I gained experience with a Ring-dye laser as well as building and operating a diode laser system. I also built various electronic components for the experiment and developed designs for an oven to be used in a future, dual species Bose-Einstein condensation experiment.

Research Assistant | Space Physics at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory April 2001 - September 2001 (6 months)
- Developed expertise in identifying the physical signatures of the Magnetosheath for identifying the time intervals the Geotail satellite was located in this region.
- Developed software that used these time intervals to extract and format relevant data from large databases using IDL.
